DIY: Bijoux

So, finally I got a DIY for you guys!

But (there is always a but..). It might not be that statement ish as it was supposed to be. I kind of ended up making rings instead. I actually didn't have enough pearls to make the neckless as I wanted, so then I lost the passion. So, note to self: make sure to have enough of the preferred pearls before starting...

But under are some of the jewelry that I did in fact make.

Btw, it's pretty straight forward, so I suppose I don't need to explain that much how you do it. Though, I would recommend to use an elastic thread or something, so that you don't need a lock. Then it's much more easy and faster to make.

 Neckless

The needed equipment. Thread and pearls. And maybe a scissor would be nice. 

Then start put on the pearls the way you like it!

I highly recommend to use elastic thread.

 I was a bit worried the thread wouldn't hold, so I put on some extra pearls just to make sure it will.

 Finished. Took me not longer then about 10 minutes. So easy!

This is how it looks on. I'm not that satisfied though. I believe it's a bit too tight. Like it belongs to a dog, not a human being. So I might remake it, since it didn't take me so long anyway. And I'd like to make three similar ones and put them together. So it'll be more of the statement feeling. But then I'd need more big pearls. So I need go shopping - again. 

 Rivet Ring

For this ring you would need thread. 

A normal hair elastic...

...that I just cut over and made fit my finger by making it smaller.

Pearls shaped like rivets. I bought mine at Panduro, but I bet there is something similar on eBay etc. Btw. make sure the hole is big enough for your thread/elastic, that is quite essential! 

When it is cut off, and all the pearls are on the thread, you sew the two parts together.

And then you've got yourself a new ring! 

Transparent ring 

You will need a piece of the elastic thread. Make sure you have a bit extra. 

You will also need some pearls. Of course.

Et voilà!

 "Diamond" Ring

Along with thread, you will need some beautiful pearls.

Three of four new rings (the rivet ring is missed in the picture). And I definitely will make more! These are also beautiful when put together.

Bracelet

 At first this was also supposed to be a ring, but then I changed my mind...

...and turned it into a bracelet. 

How it looks on (among with my all time favorite "ROCK" bracelet).

Hope it was a little inspiring! Next time you need a neckless or a ring, don't buy one, make one yourself! No one will ever have the exact same. How cool is that?!
